ReplyDeleteIt is a shame and a diservice to expect kids to use tools to learn that are obsolete in their eyes. Every student I have encountered is capable of learning and playing a video game or operating a smart phone or Ipad. Why on earth would you not use the tools that students have already taught themselves proficiently. Students need to love to learn the way that works best for them. If you as an educator create an environment where the students hate to learn, you have done far worse for that student than anything else.
