I think that there are a lot of students that are not internally motivated to learn, at least in some subjects. We need to inspire that motivation. That is our job.

ReplyDeleteRecall what you remember most from school. Was is taught to you by your teacher or your peers? Peers listen to peers more so than their teachers. I utilize this in the classroom with a variety of group projects for each chapter.
ReplyDeleteMotivation is one of the hardest things to give. I agree that you must be passionate and respectful. I love to see the students come up with new ideas and new ways of doing things i would have never thought of. Most times you have to believe in them until they can believe in themselves.
