I love this. The Explorers have also learned that nature is all around us. We just need to peek out of a window or step outside. We've learned to STOP and observe all that is happening in nature through our senses. Urban areas can be great places to explore plants an animals. We have a group of roosters that live across the street from our campus. A cardinal has been tapping on our classroom window for about a month now. We were able to hunt for evidence of bats under the bridges at the Riverwalk. Nature is everywhere! Science IS best explored outdoors.
