Lincoln's Letter to His Son's Teacher

  1. My mission as an educator isn't really to teach a student. To admit that would be to say that teaching is the only thing I do all day. I say that my job is to put a smile on a kid's face and light the lamp of educational want. We are so much more than simple teachers.

  2. if more people lived by this mantra, many of societies problems would be nonexistent. The real purpose of his words is not to teach reading, writing and arithmetic only, but to teach his son how to be a good human being and understand that not everything is easy and not everyone is going to treat you well. This advice is helpful for emotional and mental health which in turn strengthens scholastic aptitude.

  3. Teach my son how to live life and learn from others while in your classroom. Help him learn school knowledge that will make him success when he is doing any type of school work.

  4. In the school teach him
it is far honorable to fail
    than to cheat…
    Teach him to have faith
    in his own ideas,
    even if everyone tells him
    they are wrong…
    Teach him to be gentle
    with gentle people,
    and tough with the tough.

    I Love this quote.....
